Tapping on the filters button in the top bar opens the Looks carousel drawer at the bottom of the screen. FredCam includes a full suite of professional cinematic Looks that render gorgeous analog grades directly in your live viewfinder. In addition, you can import your own custom Looks from standard `.cube` files, giving you infinite creative flexibility to capture your signature look.
What is a LUT? A LUT (which stands for Look-Up Table) is like a professional digital color blueprint. Think of it as a highly precise, advanced film filter that translates the raw colors captured by your camera sensor into curated cinematic shades. Instead of just washing your photo in a single color, a Look maps and shapes every highlight, shadow, and skin tone individually to recreate the timeless feel of classic analog film rolls in real-time.
FredCam supports high-fidelity capture in HEIF, JPEG, and uncompressed professional RAW & ProRAW formats. You can fully exploit your iPhone's camera sensor capabilities, capturing in standard 12 Megapixels for light and fast file handling, or utilizing up to 48 Megapixels for maximum image detail and sharpness.
To preserve complete physical storage transparency and workflow compatibility, FredCam saves all captured media items directly to a custom, dedicated album named "FredCam" inside your native iOS Photos application library.
Yes! FredCam actively monitors your system's hardware output volume keys. Pressing the physical Volume Up or Volume Down buttons acts as a physical shutter trigger. System HUD popups are automatically suppressed to ensure an unobstructed shooting display.
Yes. FredCam saves all captured media directly to a dedicated "FredCam" album inside your native iOS Photos application library. These photos automatically participate in standard iCloud backups and device migrations in accordance with your iOS system settings.
